Niagara Region is as beautiful as it is entertaining. There are a ton of local events happening here all year long, but things really start to heat up in the spring. Be sure to get tickets and attend these incredible spring events in the Niagara Region.
Shaw Festival
The Shaw Festival is a world-renowned theatre company in Niagara-on-the-Lake known for its productions of plays by George Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries, as well as plays about his lifetime. The annual Shaw Festival kicks off each year in the spring, running performances from April to December every year. The 2025 season is set to stun and will feature performances like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Niagara Falls Fireworks
Every year, Niagara Parks hosts an incredible and explosive fireworks series. Get ready for an unforgettable display in incredible scenery. It’s free and starts in mid May and runs until early September.
Comic Con
Niagara Falls Comic Con is an amazing late spring event dedicated to superheroes and the people who love them. It’s a three-day celebration of pop culture at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Canada. The convention features more than 200,000 square feet of vendors, celebrity guests, artists, exhibits, cosplay and more! It's a fun 3 days for the whole family. This year’s convention features some notable guests including the Trailer Park Boys, Tommy Chong, Danielle Fishel, Amy Jo Johnson and more. Be sure to get your tickets for the 2025 edition set for May 30 to June 1, 2025.
Niagara-on-the-lake Peach Festival
Niagara-on-the-Lake is home to the annual Niagara-on-the-lake Peach Festival. The event is bursting with juicy peaches grown locally and includes live music, street markets, historic displays, entertainment, fun and more. There’s even a contest for who makes the best peach pie!
Niagara Grape and Wine Festival -- Spring Sparkles

Farmers markets are back
Farmers markets across Niagara Region will reopen outdoors in the spring. Be sure to visit them for their unique offerings, events and entertainment.
- Welland has a robust Farmers Market on Saturdays that’s been around since the early 1900s.
- Pelham has a great Thursday Farmers Market that sells a ton of fresh, locally grown produce.
- The Niagara Falls Farmers Market is open on Saturdays all year long. In the spring/summer season it’s located at the MacBain Community Centre.
- With over 50 vendors, the Port Colborne Farmers Market is well worth a visit. It’s open on Fridays from April to October.
- The Ridgeway Farmers Market is full of a variety of food and produce vendors and artisans to buy from. It’s open on Saturdays from May to October.
- The St Catharines Farmers Market is a historic market that’s full of all kinds of vendors. It’s open Saturdays all year long.
- The Niagara-on-the-lake Farmers Market is another fabulous Saturday market from May to October where you can shop for amazing locally grown produce and locally made foods and crafts.
